
A Chatham man is facing charges after allegedly threatening multiple people with a knife.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a 911 hang-up call at a business on Park Avenue East in Chatham at around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Following an investigation, authorities learned that an argument escalated at the business when a man threatened other individuals with a knife and then chased one person outside.
A 62-year-old man was arrested near the business, and officers confiscated several knives.
The accused is now charged with assault, uttering threats, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
