Possible future students will flock to Lambton College this weekend to see what the post-secondary school has to offer.
The college’s Spring Open House will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., and will include tours of the campus facilities led by Lambton Ambassadors, as well as a chance to speak to faculty and current Lambton College students.
“We’ve got lots happening. We’re constantly updating our campus, making sure those lab spaces and those learning spaces are as world-class as they can be. And just making sure our students get the best experience when they come through Lambton College,” said Rhian Reilly, the associate director of marketing and recruitment at Lambton College.
Special shuttles have been arranged to transport guests to both residence and the fire school for those who are interested.
Those attending will also have the chance to win prizes, including tuition for the 2023/2024 school year.
“Our session at 10:30 a.m. is called ‘Funding Your Future’ and we will have representatives from our financial aid office and our foundation who will be talking about OSAP, talking about scholarships and bursaries that are available, [as well] on-campus employment opportunities,” said Reilly. “We’re just trying to make that process a little less daunting for those students that might be starting with us in September.”
As an additional invective, prospective students will be able to apply to Lambton College on the spot during the open house. The enrollment team will be on hand to assist with the application process. Application fees will also be waived for any student who signs up during the open house.
