The County of Lambton has officially ended its COVID-related state of emergency.
In a written statement, Warden Kevin Marriott said lifting the emergency measures means the county can incorporate its ongoing pandemic response within its own day-to-day operations without significant outside assistance.
“As we transition to the next phase of the pandemic, I would like to encourage the public to extend compassion and understanding towards those who are adapting to new routines at paces that may be different from our own,” Marriott added.
The County Emergency Control Group will continue to monitor the pandemic’s impact and is prepared to escalate its response if necessary.
Residents are still advised to follow public health guidelines in place at the federal, provincial and local levels.
