Ownership of Fairfield cemetery, farm field, museum and park are returning to the Delaware Nation.

Chief Denise Stonefish will accept the property from The United Church in a signing ceremony this morning at the Community Centre on School House Line at 10am.

Fairfield was founded May 8th 1792 by native ancestors and Moravian missionaries and later destroyed during the war of 1812.

The United Church has operated the site as a park and museum for the last 74 years.
