A Chatham man has been charged after an argument between a landlord and a tenant turned violent.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to Orchard Heights Drive in Chatham to investigate an assault at around 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday.
Following an investigation, officers learned that the accused had been arguing with his landlord when things turned physical. During the incident, the landlord was elbowed in the face causing a minor injury.
As a result, a 57-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with one count of assault. He was taken to police headquarters and released with conditions and a January court.
