Last Case Of COVID-19 At Fairfield Park Is Resolved

Fairfield Park long term care home, Wallaceburg.

Some great news from Fairfield Park in Wallaceburg.

The long term care facility released a statement today saying there are no active cases of COVID-19 among the patients, staff or caregivers.

The residence underwent precautionary testing on March 1st and they are awaiting the results.

An amazing accomplishment considering they had 100 cases between January 10th and this week.

Tracey Maxim the Administrator said “We would like to take this opportunity to highlight the amazing efforts and continued dedication of our staff who have worked tirelessly in the last few week’s service of our residents. We also could not have done this without the support of our health system partners including Chatham Kent Public Health, Chatham Kent Health Alliance, Erie St. Clair LHIN, Alzheimer’s Society and the Canadian Red Cross.

We also owe a debt of gratitude to our friends and neighbours who have stood with us throughout this outbreak. We look forward to the day that we can officially put this outbreak behind us and will update the community when the time comes.”

All infection prevention and control measures will remain in place at this time to ensure the safety for residents and staff.
