A late-night fight in downtown Chatham has left one man in hospital and another behind bars.
Officers were called to an establishment on King Street West just after 1 o’clock this morning, where one man allegedly shoved another – the victim fell backwards and hit his head on the sidewalk.
A 39-year-old Dover Township man was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance and later transferred to Windsor for medical attention.
The accused, a 28-year-old from Chatham, is charged with aggravated assault.
