Chatham-Kent Police continue to investigate following a deadly collision involving a pedestrian near Thamesville.
Emergency crews responded to Longwoods Road between Dewdrop Line and Huffs Side Road at 11:43 Wednesday night.
Authorities say an 86-year-old Thamesville man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 20-year-old Thamesville woman, was not hurt in the crash.
Longwoods Road was closed overnight but has since reopened.
The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Management Unit has taken over the investigation. Anyone who might have information or dashcam footage that could help with the investigation is urged to contact Constable Joel Rehill, at 519-355-1092.
