After weeks of restrictions, local residents can now get back to watering their lawns and washing their vehicles.
After repairs to the main transmission line late last month, emergency restrictions were put in place for non-essential water use, affecting Chatham, Dover, Dresden, Thamesville and the surrounding areas.
Most restrictions were lifted on August 31, however, residents were urged to continue conserving water for outdoor use, such as watering lawns and gardens, and topping up swimming pools.
Officials now say customers may resume normal outdoor water use, including lawn watering and other non-essential uses of the potable water supply.
