Leon’s Buys Up Scout Christmas Trees Once Again

It’s become a holiday tradition between a local Scouts troupe and Leon’s in Chatham.

The Chatham 19th Scouts troop has been selling Christmas Trees on St Clair Street for the past few weeks.

Starting today, however, all of the remaining trees are now available free of charge, thanks to a donation from Leon’s.

Owner Ken Edwards says it’s a win-win situation, allowing families who may not otherwise be able to afford one to have their own live Christmas tree, and helping to support the Scouts fundraiser at the same time.

The trees can be picked up at the lot on St Clair just north of Oxley Drive starting at 1 o’clock this afternoon, while supplies last.
