Libraries Reopening Across CK

Just in time for summer, Chatham-Kent’s libraries are opening their doors once again.

Because of provincial COVID restrictions, libraries across Chatham-Kent have been closed for the last several months, but as part of Step 2 of the reopening plan, are finally able to start offering in-person service.

Starting tomorrow, all 11 branches will be offering open hours with limited capacity for browsing, picking up holds, and accessing computers, printers, and photocopiers. However, when it comes to the tech-side of things, officials say staff will only be able to offer very limited support at this stage.

A number of COVID precautions remain in place, including face masks, hand sanitizer, and physical distancing.

Summer reading programs for all ages will be offered virtually.
