It didn’t take long for Chatham-Kent police to nab a suspected thief in Chatham.
At 3:30 yesterday afternoon, Chatham-Kent Police say a 35-year-old man went into the Wellington Street LCBO store in Chatham, grabbed two bottles of booze, and walked back out without paying.
The incident was caught on the store’s surveillance video and just over 45 minutes later, officers tracked down the suspect on Murray Street.
He’s facing charges of theft and possession of stolen property, and was taken to police headquarters for a bail hearing.
