Little River Band Takes The Colosseum Stage in Celebration of 50 Years!

Little River Band was formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1975. Focused on getting airplay on American radio, the band achieved their goal through good songwriting, powerful vocals, and guitar harmonies, immediately claiming their place as one of the great vocal bands of the ‘70s and ‘80s.

Mega hits for the group over the years include “Cool Change,” “Take It Easy On Me,” “Reminiscing,” “Help is on its Way,” “Lonesome Loser,” “Man On Your Mind,” “The Other Guy,” “The Night Owls,” “Lady,” and “Happy Anniversary”. In 1982, the group set a Billboard record for Top 10 U.S. hits for six consecutive years. “Reminiscing” has garnered rare status with over five million airplays on American radio with “Lady” close behind at over four million airplays.

The band is currently anchored by bassist and lead singer Wayne Nelson, a 45-year Little River Band veteran. He is joined on stage by keyboardist Chris Marion, drummer Ryan Ricks, and guitarists Colin Whinnery and Bruce Wallace. These great musicians have writing, touring, and recording credits that include legendary artists like Kenny Loggins, Loretta Lynn, Wynona Judd, Garth Brooks, and Gretchen Wilson. All five are accomplished singers and deliver the signature Little River Band lead vocals and harmonies at every show.

Earlier this year, Little River Band dropped their latest album, Window To The World. Continuing to tour over 90 shows yearly, the Happy Anniversary Tour will be their biggest celebration yet.
