LKDSB Reaches Tentative Deal With Education Workers

A bit of good news on the education front.

The Lambton-Kent District School Board has reached a tentative agreement with CUPE Local 1238, which represents staff like custodians, ECEs and educational assistants, among others.

“We are pleased to reach a tentative agreement with CUPE,” said Chair Jane Bryce. “We appreciate the ongoing dedication and commitment of all CUPE staff, who provide important supports and services in our schools and across the Lambton Kent District School Board.”

A provincial collective agreement between CUPE, the Council of Trustees’ Association

The deal still needs to be ratified by both parties.

A provincial collective agreement between CUPE, the Council of Trustees’ Association, and the Ford Government was given the go-ahead back in November.
