Citing student safety, the both the St Clair Catholic and Lambton Kent District School Boards haves decided to close Monday if a CUPE strike goes ahead.
Officials say schools would be closed for the duration of the strike.
CUPE represents custodians, ECE’s, educational assistants, secretaries, librarians, computer technicians, and other school-based and central staff members.
A full strike would create a situation where both boards believes the would not be able to safely operate our schools.
