Students, staff, and parents in the Lambton-Kent District School Board are being asked to fill out a survey over the next few weeks.
Gary Girardi, Superintendent of Education, says the climate survey is a way to learn more about the school environment.
“The surveys are being conducted online and so we’re providing them to the schools to complete them from April first to the 12th that gives students to complete the online survey and gives parents and guardians a chance to complete one survey per child complete so we can get opinions from students and parents and guardians as well,” says Girardi. “This year we did some new things, we expanded our input in terms of decisions for questions for wider representation across the board and we’ve included a new group to help analyze the results and that’s the Windsor Essex County Health Unit.”
Girardi says the survey includes topics about eating and sleeping habits, mental health well being, and bullying.
