A Chatham agriculture business has been sold to a Toronto-based company.
South West Ag Partners has sold Veritas Farm Management to Deveron.
Chatham-Kent’s agriculture specialist, Kim Cooper, says it’s a good deal for everyone involved.
“I think Veritas was looking for opportunities and Deveron was looking for companies in Canada it could partner with to expand their territory,” Cooper explains. “It gives each of the companies better data, better equipment, better people, and expanding that whole area of agriculture technology.”
Cooper says no local jobs will be lost, as staff at Veritas in Chatham will be able to stay on board.
