Local Candidates Step Up in LKM and CKL

The pieces are starting to fall into place locally as the federal election campaign ramps up.

In the riding of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, Lianne Rood is again running for the Conservatives after being elected in 2019. Sudit Ranade is carrying the Liberal banner, Jason Henry his hitting the campaign trail for the NDP, Jeremy Hull is running for the Green Party, and the People’s Party of Canada has selected Kevin Mitchell as their candidate.

In Chatham-Kent-Leamington, Conservative Dave Epp is running for re-election. He’s being challenged by Liberal Greg Hetherington, Dan Gelinas for the NDP, and Liz Vallee with the PPC. The Green Party has yet to confirm its candidate in CLK.

Prospective candidates have until August 30th – or 21 days before the election – to file nomination papers.
