Katie McCaig is one of 18 local residents who will be cycling across Europe in the Frank Graham Cycle Liberation Tour.

“We’re cycling 700 kilometres following the path of the [Second] World War,” McCaig says. “Along the way we’ll be paying our respects, commemorating our veterans by taking part in memorial ceremonies and laying memorial wreaths.”

The entire journey will last 21 days, and will include students from across Canada and the Netherlands.

A fundraiser quarter auction is being held tonight to support the group at the Moose Lodge in Wallaceburg.

The doors open at 6, and the auction itself gets underway at 7.
