The local public school board and its elementary teachers have ratified a new collective agreement.
The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) and local members of the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario voted to ratify the new four-year contract on Wednesday.
“We are very pleased to announce that we have ratified the collective agreement and are looking forward to working together to support students across our board,” said LKDSB Chair Randy Campbell in a news release.
The new collective agreement is effective from September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2026.
The public board has also ratified a new agreement with its occasional elementary teachers, as well as with permanent and occasional teacher members of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, District 10.
