A Chatham-Kent man caught outside a home where he wasn’t supposed to be will have to answer to a judge.

Chatham-Kent Police were called to a King Street East address just before 3:30 this morning. Authorities say the accused was detained under the Trespass to Property Act, but allegedly gave officers a fake name.

Police were able to confirm the man’s identity and learned he was wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Windsor Police Service.

The 30-year-old has been charged with obstructing a police officer and was released to authorities in Windsor with conditions and a date in court in July.
