A philanthropic men’s group is supporting women and families in need.

The local chapter of 100 Men Who Care have handed over a cheque for $10,400 to the Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre.

The organization was chosen by the group’s members as their charity of choice during a meeting in late October. Each member then contributes $100 to the cause.

The Chatham-Kent Women’s Centre not only provides a safe place for women and children to stay, it also offers a range of programming including 24 hour crisis counseling, a family court support program, and outreach services.
