Erin VanderSluis

A local woman has co-authored a new book aimed at encouraging mothers to overcome limiting beliefs and thrive as entrepreneurs.

Erin VanderSluis of Chatham is one of 24 women who penned chapters for the upcoming book “Becoming an Unstoppable Woman Mompreneur” as part of a New York Times Best Selling Campaign.

According to VanderSluis, the book will help women rediscover themselves as they find a balance as working moms.

“I knew I had a message to share,” said VanderSluis in a news release. “I knew I couldn’t be the only mom who ever felt like they lost themselves a bit in motherhood. I want other moms to know they’re not alone and that their dreams matter.”

VanderSluis lives in Chatham with her husband and three children. She is a co-owner of Bouma Builders Inc. and owner of self-launched Erin VanderSluis Design, which combines her home building expertise with the world of interior design.

The book will release as an ebook on May 8, 2022, and then at major retailers in paperback on May 15, 2022. The author is also hosting a book signing on May 19 at Studio Sisters in Chatham from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
