A local politician is settling in for his first full term in office.

Steve Pinsonneault was sworn in at Queen’s Park Tuesday after retaining the Lambton-Kent-Middlesex seat in the legislature in the provincial election.

He first took office following a by-election in the riding in May, 2024 and served for nine months before Premier Doug Ford called a snap vote last month.

The local MPP posted on social media following yesterday’s ceremony, saying he’s honoured and grateful to serve the community and looks forward to the next four years.

Premier Doug Ford and his cabinet will be sworn in during a ceremony at the Royal Ontario Museum Wednesday afternoon. The legislature is set to return April 14th.
