With Erin O’Toole now leading the Conservative Party of Canada, Local MP’s are ready to stand by their leader.
MP of Lambton-Kent-Middlesex, Lianne Road believes O’Toole’s leadership will build the party across the Eastern region and help unite the country.
“Erin, being from the GTA, from Toronto, I think he’s got a good chance of building the party even further in Ontario and Quebec,” Rood says, “and I look forward to working under his leadership going forward as a unified Conservative Party.”
In a written statement, Chatham-Kent-Leamington MP Dave Epp says Canada can and must do better, and Conservatives will work hard to earn the trust and confidence of Canadians in the next election.
“Here in Chatham-Kent—Leamington, all campaigns were engaged, and I thank everyone for participating in our democracy and being an important part of the largest membership in our party’s history,” Epp says. “Based upon numerous conversations I have had with local party members these past weeks, I know that we are eager to craft a new policy platform, and ready ourselves to offer Canadians a clear, credible alternative.”
