As Ontarians prepare for an early provincial election, political parties are getting their ducks in a row.
Premier Doug Ford confirmed late last week he would be visiting the Lieutenant Governor’s office today to have parliament dissolved ahead of a February 27th election.
The NDP’s Lambton Kent Middlesex Riding Association held a virtual nomination meeting last night, selecting Kathryn Shailer as their candidate for the upcoming vote.
Shailer, an Alvinston resident, ran in last year’s by-election in the riding, placing third behind current MPP Steve Pinsonneault.
Pinsonneault has already confirmed he is running for re-election in next month’s provincial election, along with Liberal candidate Cathy Burghardt-Jesson.
