Local Officer Calls it a Career

Long-time Chatham-Kent police officer Constable Paul Myers is calling it a career.

Myers, a Muirkirk native, hung up his badge following his shift Tuesday night.

In 1989 Myers started his policing career with Peel Regional Police at the age of 24.

He came home in 1991, working with Crime Stoppers, the Community Priority Action Team (CPAT), Child Abuse Investigation Team, and Major Crime Unit.

In 2008, Myers returned to uniform patrol working in Dresden, Thamesville, and Wallaceburg before moving to Blenheim patrol in 2010.
