“Dana Treacy had long hair…. a lot of long hair, and on Friday night gave it all to ‘Locks of Love’, and gave inspiration to others at the 1st ever Relay for Life held in Wallaceburg on Friday night.

Treacy was ready to get a haircut for the cause and lose her long hair, and then a last minute donation from Steve Bilodeau (a Wallaceburg Resident, and President and CEO of GS Group) topped her fundraising over the $5000.00.

When asked how she felt after Treacy was informed that Bilodeau had topped up her fundraising goal, Treacy said ” Steve and his family support so much in the community, and this is just another event and cause that they give to.  Their family worked at the Relay for Life event donating their time, and now this from Steve.  It’s just amazing”

Kathy Poissant was happy to do the cutting for Dana.

Mike Vandenberg was inspired by Dana’s enthusiasm and jumped in donating his hair, eyebrows, and mustache, raising $1300 for the cause.

Relay for life in Wallaceburg raised almost $45,000.00 for cancer research”.
