Just this past weekend, The Next Star aired episodes featuring the creation of each artist’s very first music video, which allowed us to not only see Brooklyn do her thing as a superstar, but to hear her first “single”, entitled “The Way I See You”. See it for yourself now:

This young artist has begun to make her mark as an up and comer in the country music industry. Many have referred to her as the next Leann Rimes and Rising Star.

At only 14 years old, Brooklyn has a natural and captivating presence on stage that conveys her passion for performing. She has powerful vocals with pure and clean tones.  Her musical abilities range from the classics of the unparalleled notes of Patsy and Tammy to the modern upbeat and driven sounds of Carrie and Miranda.

From a small town in Southwestern Ontario, Brooklyn has been acting, singing and dancing for several years. She has performed in musicals such as Wizard of Oz, High School Musical, Jungle Book and Godspell. Brooklyn has competed in numerous singing contests and talent shows over the past few years such as the Northern Ontario Open Country Music Contest, Ontario Open Country Music Contest, the Colgate Country Showdown, the Western Fair, the Rising Star and the Mitchell’s Bay Country Music Contest where she has won several awards.

For the past two years Brooklyn has performed at Canada’s largest lights festival production “the CAA Winter Festival of Lights” in Niagara Falls, Ontario with the characters of Disney, the magic of Greg Frewen and recording artist Stephanie McIlroy. She also had the remarkable opportunity to perform at the Boothill Jamboree in Bothwell, Ontario sharing the stage with bands like The Oakridge Boys, The Kentucky Headhunters, Sammy Kershaw, Dean Brody, High Valley, Codie Provost, and Mustang Sally. It was an amazing experience!

Giving back to her community is very important to Brooklyn. She has been involved with many charitable volunteer events such as ‘The Respect’ tour with Community Living Chatham-Kent where she performed for over 40 schools and thousands of students in an anti-bullying campaign.

When Brooklyn isn’t singing, dancing or acting she likes hanging out with her friends, family and her two dogs, Maddy and Belle. She is enjoying her second year of high school and loves being a down home, small-town girl who also loves snowmobiling, reading, watching movies, ice cream and pickles.
