Listen in all this week at 3:40 as Jay & C-P feature Madison Violet on the XS Local Spotlight!

Over the past 10 years Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac (MADISON VIOLET) have toured their modern country sound and flawless harmonies across the world. As headliners they have packed venues in Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, France, Belgium, Ireland, England, Norway, the UK, Wales, Scotland, Italy and of course, Canada. Since fall 2011, Brenley and Lisa have completed two sold-out European tours and March 2012 finds the duo on their first headlining tour in Australia before they embark on their first national U.S. tour in April and May.

From the Montreux Jazz Festival to Massey Hall, audiences have been swooning over Madison Violet’s storytelling and songs. As the follow-up to their breakthrough success No Fool for Trying (2009), The Good in Goodbye captures the growth and musical maturity of the duo who have mastered distinctly unique up-tempo melodies, contrasted with breathtakingly sweeping and personal lyrics. Their new single, “She’s Got Something to Live For”, a cover of the Barney Bentall classic, personifies their unique ability to drive both melody and harmony in a seamless, contemporary way. Re-written and arranged with Barney himself, “She’s Got Something To Live For” adds a breath of tempo that is both solid and recognizable.

The girls have ties to Wallaceburg through the family of Brenley, whose brother works locally as a paramedic. MadViolet are always touching base with our community and have recently played at Port Lambton at Dock’s and in Highgate at the Mary Webb Centre.
