Burlington’s Walk Off The Earth has been garnering a lot of attention lately with their release of their Gotye release, “Somebody I Used to Know”. The band consists of 5 members, with very unique beats and usage of several instruments.
Walk Off The Earth considers themselves a truly independent band who have had no help from any record labels. Much of their success has been gained through word of mouth, with several videos on their YouTube. Since the beginning, they have always had very dedicated and loyal fans who have supported them. Their passion consist of creating great music, entertaining and original videos, as well as innovative live performances. These are what they believe will make them be recognized and it has worked well for them so far. There seems to be no stopping them now as they have quickly climbed chart lists everywhere with their newest cover.
Their newest song, “Somebody I Used To Know” debuted on the CKXS Top 25 Countdown at #25 and has already begun to climb. Walk Off The Earth will be on The Ellen DeGeneres Show at 4 PM today. Like many of Ellen’s guests she has on her show, Walk Off The Earth gained much of their attention on YouTube, in which they have more than 63 million views on their channel.
