Wendy Medeiros was voted as one of the top musicians for the XS Artist of the Month feature here at CKXS last month! Wendy is getting a lot of well deserved praise for her current single “Get Up & Go”, that is being played on radio airwaves across the country. Wendy is the next pop-rock sensation out of Toronto, with infectiously relatable lyrics and evocatively distinctive vocals, it is her melodic upbeat catchy tunes that have a pop-rock sound with a touch of soul that has everybody moving. Born in Calgary, Wendy moved to Toronto at 3 years of age and has had a deep passion for music for as long as she can remember.
At just 17 she formed her first band and within years started collaborating with other musicians, combining ideas and creating songs that were more complete in instrumentation and sound. Self- expression became pivotal and her music even more addictive.
Get Up & Go will be Wendy’s first single released. The song is empowering in the use of the bass and drums with lots of guitar and a big voice.
