A disturbance in downtown Chatham has led to charges for a local woman.
Chatham-Kent Police responded to the King Street East area shortly after midnight on Tuesday following reports of a group of individuals yelling in a parking lot, with several callers saying the people involved were moving between a residential unit and the parking lot.
Officers arrived to find an 18-year-old woman showing signs of intoxication.
The teen was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place. She was taken to police headquarters, held until she sobered up, and later released with a Provincial Offence Notice.
