William Lindsay will be working in the Olympic Village as a bartender for the next few week.

This will be the fourth Games the 32-year old has attended as a volunteer.

As former competitive figure skater, he says he certainly has more of an attachment to the Winter Games, but is always excited to take in new events.

“I kind of feel out of my element with the summer games because I’m not familiar with a lot of the athletes and a lot of the sports,” says Lindsay  “I really tried to expose myself to different events so  I was able to get some tickets to this one and I picked some events we wouldn’t see in Chatham-Kent. A ticket to fencing, a ticket to field hockey, just things I wouldn’t normally see.”

Lindsay takes off for Rio on Monday, and will stay for the duration of the Games.
