A group of caring local women have donated $11,025 to help feed families in need across Chatham-Kent.

The group, 100 Women Who Care Chatham-Kent, recently presented the donation to Chatham Outreach for Hunger.

“Outreach for Hunger is thrilled to be selected by 100 Women Who Care to receive this donation,” said Brenda LeClair, executive director of Outreach for Hunger. “The support given will provide many nutritious meals to families who struggle daily. Together we can make a difference.”

Members of 100 Women Who Care Chatham-Kent meet four times each year to vote on which charitable organization they would like to donate to next. Each member contributes $100 to donation.

Since the group was formed in August 2016, it has raised more than $250,000 for 22 charitable groups in Chatham-Kent.
