The Chatham Capitol Theatre is gearing up for another season of entertainment.
General Manager Lesley Grand says the 2017-18 lineup includes something for everyone, including a number of family friendly shows.
“The one that I’m looking forward to the most is between Christmas and New Year’s – it’s called B-Underwater Bubble Show. If you go to our website, you’ll be able to see a promo video”, says Grand. “It’s part Cirque du Soleil, part dance, part magic, part comedy, black light, and tons and tons of bubbles”, Grand explains.
Other performances include Canadian stars Kim Mitchell and Tom Cochrane, comedian Louie Anderson, and Studio Black’s Beauty and the Beast.
“I really like the number of family shows that we’ve got. Over the last couple of years, we’ve really noticed a lot of people wanting to bring their children. that’s where the love of live performing arts starts – when they’re children. Going into booking for this season, one of my goals was making sure there were lots of shows for young children.
