A Chatham creative cooperative needs your help to create a new work of art.
Angel Bilagot is the owner of The CO. and is creating a ‘Love Locks’ piece inspired by other installations like the Pont Des Arts Bridge in Paris where lovers can attach a lock with their initials or other messages as a symbol of their unbreakable love.
Bilagot says she wants that level of interaction.
“It’s up at The CO now, but we are going to do an unveiling on February 13th, and then we’re hoping to move it outdoors as a standing installation, so whether people are going by or tourists are in town, they can come and put a lock on.”
The framework to hang the locks is two intertwined hearts. In the centre of the frame will be a criss-cross pattern where people can place their locks.
