Support for long term care will be the focus of a rally in Chatham this weekend.
Health care advocates, including members of the Ontario Health Coalition and Unifor Local 127 will be protesting near Riverview Gardens, Chatham-Kent’s municipally-run long term care home.
The group is demanding the government address staff shortages and lack of vacation time, and increased resident safety and care.
The rally gets underway at 11 o’clock Saturday morning on Robertson Avenue, south of King Street West.
