LTVCA Issues Flood Watch Including Wallaceburg

Strong wind gusts and heavy showers could combine to be a real issue according to the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority.

Westerly winds are expected Sunday afternoon and that can cause a backwater effect slowing the flow of water out of the Sydenham River causing elevated waters in the Wallaceburg area.

We are looking at wind gusts between 45-65 km/h winds coupled with heavy showers creating the flood watch along the shorelines of Lake Huron near Brights Grove, and Lake St. Clair.

This watch is in effect until Monday afternoon.
