Lundy Insurance donating $10,000 to Children’s Treatment Centre Music Therapy Program

The music therapy program at the Children’s treatment Centre is getting a boost.

Broker Dan Lundy from Lundy Insurance is donating $10,000 to the Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation and their Butterfly Building Campaign.

Lundy says he has a personal connection with the Centre.

“It was a simple decision for us. My daughter Sydney uses the music program and Heather is her teacher. Over the last 6 years that she’s been coming here, we’ve seen leaps and bounds in changes in her development. We love the Centre – the whole program – but we love the music program especially”, says Lundy.

Lundy has also spent two years on the Children’s Treatment Centre Board.

Music Therapist Heather Sarson says the donation will go a long way.

“There will be a music therapy clinic room in the new building which entails all sorts of extra instruments and adaptive instruments for children who need adaptations”, says Sarson.

The music therapy program doesn’t receive any provincial funding, and is supported primarily through donations from the community.

The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation is raising money to build a new facility outside Chatham.
