A machete attack landed a Chatham man behind bars.
Officers were called to a disturbance on Oxley Drive in Chatham and say one man tried to hit another with a machete.
Police were able to track down the accused and arrested a 43-year-old man.
The suspect is facing several charges, including assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failing to comply with Probation Order.
He was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
