The show will go on at the Mainstreet Credit Union Stage.
Earlier this week, Chatham-Kent Council voted unanimously in favour of adopting four recommendations for the rentable mobile stage, based on its first year in operation.
The state-of-the-art trailer was first unveiled in the spring of 2024 as a way to accommodate various events and venues across the municipality.
With 15 events held in 2024 and 17 more in 2025, the Mainstreet Credit Union Mobile Stage will increase its pricing for private and for-profit users in 2026. The rental rate will be $1,020 for the first day and $506 for additional days. Not-for-profit stage user fee rates will be maintained at current levels in 2026.
The report also recommends that all stage user fees be adjusted annually for inflation starting in 2027, and that any operating shortfall for 2026 and 2027 be funded through budget variances. Longer-term subsidy requirements will be referred to the 2028–2031 multi-year budget process.
