After some unexpected setbacks with funding, renovations at the Mary Webb Centre are into the final stretch.
Music Director Peter Garapick says the construction hit a snag about a year ago when a grant fell through, but more funding has now been secured and they should be finished in early spring.
“Washrooms big and accessible. a lift, so if you need a wheelchair, it’s there.” says Garapick. “It’s going to be fantastic, we’re taking a 100 year old building and bringing it into the 21st century.”
The cost of the construction, which began about two years ago, comes in with a total price tag of $750,000.
