
An arrest has been made in connection to a fire at a furniture store in Bothwell.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue said firefighters responded to the blaze at Bothwell Furniture at 170 Main St. N at around 2:40 a.m. on Thursday.
According to Chatham-Kent Police, a brush fire spread to the store. No injuries were reported and damage is estimated at around $25,000.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch took over the investigation and arrested a 24-year-old man, who has since been charged with arson.
The accused was released from custody with conditions and a date in court in November.
