An arrest has been made after a vehicle break-in was thwarted by the owner.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Dashwheel Road address in Tilbury East Township on Sunday at around 9 a.m., after a man and woman were seen trying to break into a vehicle.
When the pair were confronted by the owner, they fled on bicycles. However, the owner followed the suspects and provided a description and last known whereabouts to police.
A man was later located on Queen Street North and arrested in connection with the incident. He is now charged with theft under $5,000 and was released with a future court date.
Authorities have not disclosed if they are looking for another suspect.
