An arrest has now been made following a months-long search for a Chatham man who was wanted in connection to a child pornography investigation.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers with the Internet Child Exploitation Unit executed a search warrant at a Chatham home in November 2023 as part of an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material.
As a result of the search, police issued an arrest warrant for the 55-year-old Chatham man who lived at the home.
The accused was located by police on Saturday and was arrested. He is now charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography and making child pornography available.
The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
