A 44-year-old man is likely experiencing a little déjà vu after being arrested in Chatham twice in the same day.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said the man got into an argument with two other men in Chatham on Monday and allegedly pulled out a knife.
As a result, the man was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was also charged with failing to comply with his release conditions after he was instructed not to possess any weapons, following a previous arrest on December 23, 2020.
On Monday afternoon, the 44-year-old was released following a bail hearing, with new conditions including that he was not to attend the property where the altercation occurred in the morning.
However, that same afternoon, the man allegedly returned to the property and was arrested again. He now faces an additional charge and has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
