Man Arrested, Two Others Sought After Stabbing In Chatham

One man has been arrested and police are searching for two others following a stabbing near downtown Chatham.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a disturbance on King Street East shortly after midnight on Saturday where they found a man suffering from a serious stab wound.

The man was rushed to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for treatment and is now recovering at home.

Following an investigation, a 20-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and is now charged with aggravated assault. He has since been remanded into custody with a future court date.

Two men from Chatham, 21-year-old Kodin Young and 19-year-old Kayden Alward, are currently wanted on charges of aggravated assault in connection with the stabbing. They have also been added to the Chatham-Kent Police Service Most Wanted List.

Authorities said both men are considered dangerous and neither should be approached. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to immediately contact police by calling 911 or 519-352-1234. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
