A Chatham man is in hot water after taking out his frustrations on a police cruiser.
Officers were called out to a disturbance at a home yesterday afternoon and arrived to find a man wielding a 4×4 piece of wood.
The man was ordered to drop to lumber, but instead ran towards the officer and smashed the cruiser’s windshield.
Authorities say the suspect then ran back into the house and tried to use a family member as a human shield.
He was eventually brought under control and taken into custody. He’s now facing charges of weapons dangerous, assaulting police, and mischief.
