An arrest in Chatham over the weekend probably didn’t go quite as police thought it would.
A man was spotted by police in a Thames Street parking lot last night, wanted for breaching his probation order.
A quick search of the accused turned up four live 12-gauge shotgun shells, which also went against his probation order.
The arresting officer then noticed the suspect’s shoes. As it turns out, they were reported stolen from a vehicle earlier in the weekend.
The 33-year-old is now charged with being in possession of ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order and being in possession of stolen property.
